Why this site exists

Antivirus software is sold into a state of worry. The category is full of pages that simulate a scan, invent an expiry date, or dress an advertisement as a review, and that style of selling works because the underlying subject is genuinely hard to evaluate. You cannot see protection working, which makes it easy to sell you the feeling of it.

Amvix takes the opposite position. It sets out how the software works, what it cannot do, what the subscription terms actually commit you to, and where Australian law and Australian agencies come in. It is paid for by affiliate income, which is stated openly rather than hidden, and the pages are written so that they remain useful to a reader who ignores every link on them — including someone who decides that the protection already built into their operating system is enough.

Editorial method: how coverage is decided

This is the part most sites in this category leave vague, so it is stated plainly here.

Scope is determined commercially. Amvix covers one named product, Surfshark Antivirus, and the reason it covers that product rather than another is the affiliate arrangement described on the affiliate disclosure page.
